In the modern times, this will always come down to cyber crime as one of the most prolific crimes that trancends national borders.
I love learning about cyber crime. While human trafficking and drug trafficking are more well known and popularized global crime subjects, cyber crime is truly a product of our current society and a new thing. It's the frontier of the world. The motives are the same as in any crime, but the methodology has led to a whole new arms race. It is truly fascinating stuff.
